After an initial free of charge consultation, we will be in a position to advise on the most appropriate licence for your business. Following on from this, and with your instruction, we can then make the relevant application on your behalf. This includes all relevant authority consultations to ensure you obtain a suitable licence without unnecessary and restrictive conditions. During the consultation period we will continue to work on your behalf negotiating with all parties to ensure your business gets the best licence possible. We will also visit your premises after the licence has been granted and carry out a mock licensing inspection to ensure you are complying with your licence.

Holding a small community event or a large-scale music event, we can help you to obtain the licence you require.

We will liaise pre-application with responsible authorities and local interested parties, work with the authorities throughout the application period on your behalf attending any necessary local authority meetings. We will also be on hand throughout the event period to provide any necessary licensing advice and be your point of contact for any licensing inspections which take place.

Local Authorities and the Police take non-compliance seriously and have the power to review your licence or take formal action such as prosecution. If prosecuted the fine for non-compliance is unlimited and or up to 6 months imprisonment. This was increased by the government in March 2015 previously the fine was £20,000.

If you hold a licence and you want to ensure you are in compliance, we can inspect your premises and carry out a full review of your licence and also any policies / procedures you have in place, we then provide any necessary advice, so you will be complying with your licence and all relevant licensing legislation.

Our Planning consultant can provide advice on potential changes of use which maybe required if you are altering the way your business operates. Often this may fall within permitted development whereby planning permission is not required. In these circumstances they can submit a prior approval of certificate of lawfulness. Where planning permission is required  they would work closely with you to ensure the correct information is submitted to the Local Authority.
